Australian Reptile Park

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with some Australia’s most unique animals and cutting-edge conservation projects including a variety of Bird species, Reptiles, Spiders, Platypus, Wombats, Koalas, and be part of one of Australia’s largest Tasmanian Devil breeding facilities.

Essential criteria
Current Class C driver’s license
Physically fit with an ability to carry out manual handling activities, enthusiastic and hardworking 
Full covid vaccination including 3 approved Australian vaccinations

Desirable criteria
Previous animal keeping experience
Certificate II or III in captive animal care

Position Purpose: The Reptile Park is looking for a motivated person to join our wildlife teams!

The successful applicant will provide support to the Full time wildlife keepers including duties such as providing a high standard of husbandry and care of the animal collection, exhibit maintenance, behavioral enrichment programs, customer service, and public presentations. The successful applicant will be a strong team player, with the ability to follow instruction easily and without supervision. Major roles will involve animal care and husbandry of the collection, customer service and public presentations, and browse and koala leaf collection. 

Hours per Week: Casual hours per week as required & rostered

Reporting to: Head Keeper Mammals and Birds, and Head Keeper Reptiles
