Are you passionate about conservation and wildlife? Then this is the job for you! David Fleay Wildlife Park is looking for an experienced, driven and motivated person to play a key role in transforming facilities and exhibits to enhance visitor experiences at the Park.

David Fleay Wildlife Park is one of two Gateway Visitor Centres, managed by Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service & Partnerships. Nestled in secluded bushland in the heart of Queensland’s Gold Coast, the 24 hectare Wildlife Park is a long-established visitor attraction and education facility providing visitors with the opportunity to view and learn about native wildlife. Dedicated to the legacy of Dr David Fleay, our passionate rangers and volunteers provide wildlife experiences in a friendly and authentic setting. The Park incorporates an information centre, wildlife exhibits and a relaxing café.

This position based at David Fleay Wildlife Park is required to plan and facilitate delivery of an annual maintenance program (including servicing, repairing and cleaning grounds, plant and equipment) and minor and capital works program in consultation with the Ranger in Charge and the Gateway Visitor Centre management unit. The role will be responsible for developing and maintaining standard operating, emergency management and operational risk management procedures that support safe and effective site operations.

The position works five days on and two days off and includes regular rostered weekend and public holiday work. It is a mandatory requirement for the occupant of this position to hold an unrestricted manual drivers licence and Working with Children Blue Card.
