Set in 25 hectares of tranquil surroundings, Hamilton Zoo is home to more than 600 native and exotic animals. We’re looking for a Team Leader to join our dedicated team.
We are looking for someone with people leadership experience to promote and develop our enthusiastic team of Zoo Keepers whilst advancing the zoo’s collection of native and exotic animals.
The successful candidate will be a motivated team player with exceptional keeper knowledge and experience in native birds, reptiles, amphibians, primates, carnivores and ungulates. Your skills will enable you to grow our future experts in animal husbandry, best practice and conservation.
You’ll need to have an understanding of modern zoo philosophies, and be very safety conscious.
A Tertiary degree in animal management or relevant equivalent is essential and in return we will provide on the job development and be part of an exciting Zoo master plan.

The recruiting range for this role starts at $58,935.00 - 69,336.00 per annum and could be negotiated for the right candidate.
