This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of an exciting new zoo in the full time role of Nutrition Assistant, utilising your skills in an area that you are genuinely passionate about. This role will commence as soon as possible.
The Nutrition Assistant will be responsible for working with the Nutrition Team Leader to ensure efficient and effective operations with regards to nutrition standards and preparation of daily diet provisions for the animals at Sydney Zoo, as well as maintaining and cleaning the Nutrition Centre facilities.
Skills, Knowledge, and Relevant Experience
- An understanding of animal science in terms of husbandry, nutrition, and hygiene.
- A minimum of one year working professionally in the food industry or related field.
- Ability to understand the role nutrition plays in ensuring a positive animal welfare state, lined to the Five Domains.
- Experience using computer programmes including spreadsheets.
- Valid Driver’s License.
