ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Abstract submissions are now closed.

ZAA is now accepting abstract submissions for the 2024 Conference, which will run 5-9 August in Sydney, Australia. The Conference will provide both a virtual and in-person platform for speakers to share their experiences and knowledge.

The 2024 ZAA Conference theme will be 'Leading the Way for Wildlife and People'. This theme seeks to look to the future of the sector, with a strong focus on social license to operate, animal ethics and welfare and conservation. As per the previous two years, all presentations will also closely align with the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

We're looking for speakers with engaging content that relates back to our theme and touches one or several of the SDGs with relevance to our zoo and aquarium audience. We are seeking abstract submissions for plenary presentations, panel discussions and workshop facilitation.

Here's a guide with some thought-starters for presentation topics to the conference theme and the SDGs.
