 Shoalhaven Zoo is set in amongst the most spectacular natural rock formations and bushland, all on the banks of the beautiful Shoalhaven River.  
It is a privately owned Zoo that has been operating for over 50 years, with the current owners here for 20 years.

Shoalhaven Zoo houses a collection of both native and exotic birds, reptiles and mammals (including carnivores and primates)

The Position
We are currently seeking a full time Park Supervisor to join our team. As a business open 7 days a week, the position will include weekend, public holiday and school holiday work.
The role of the Park Supervisor is to assist the General Manager in the day to day running of the Zoo. It will involve leading a team and working with the Zoo’s entire collection of animals.

The Park Supervisor will:
Have strong leadership and supervisory skills. 
They will be responsible for supervising and supporting our zoo keepers, providing training and mentorship to expand skills and knowledge. 
Lead the team in meeting internal keeping expectations, supervise and ensure daily duties (including cleaning, exhibit maintenance, animal health checks etc) are completed to a high standard, ensuring husbandry and welfare needs are met.
Work closely with and reporting to the General Manager. 
Have excellent communication skills. 
Maintain animal management records
Ensure policies and procedures are kept up to date and followed by staff
Have excellent observational skills, with the ability to problem solve and multi-task. 

Other Essential Criteria
Minimum 2 years experience in a similar supervisory position
Manual Drivers license
First Aid Certificate
National Police Check
Working with Children Check 

Other Desirable Criteria
Firearms License
Tranquiliser Permit
