Individual Membership Terms & Conditions

All ZAA members are bound by the Zoo and Aquarium Association (ZAA) Constitution, Policies and Code of Conduct.

Membership Application

Eligibility for ZAA membership is subject to our receipt of your completed Membership Application Form and payment of the membership fee.

In your Membership Application Form you are required to provide true and correct information and make a declaration about certain matters. Please provide as much detail as possible so that your application can be assessed.

Once complete, your application will be reviewed and determined in accordance with the criteria for the applicable membership class.

If accepted, your ZAA membership is valid until the end of the year (31 December).

Membership Renewal

Your ZAA membership must be renewed annually at the beginning of the year.

Your eligibility to renew is subject to the following:

  • Your payment of the membership fee
  • Individual Members must be currently employed by a ZAA accredited zoo/aquarium. If your employment status has changed, please contact the ZAA office admin@zooaquarium.org.au and we will assist you with your renewal
  • Relevant Individual Subscribers can upgrade to Individual Membership after 12 months from Join Date.

Membership Payment

All renewals paid online are subject to the above Membership Renewal requirements. Pro rata rates are not available.

As per our Members Policy, we do not offer refunds of membership fees

Privacy

By submitting a Membership Application Form, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the ZAA Privacy Policy available here and agree with and consent to the practices described in that Privacy Policy.

General

From time to time, we may update these Terms and Conditions. The updated Terms and Conditions will apply to all Individual membership applications from the time of posting on our website onwards.
